Port Wine Quinta Vallado 50 Years
Port Wine Quinta Vallado 50 Years
One of the most prestigious farms in the Douro is Quinta do Vallado, a farm that belonged to D. Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, known as Ferreirinha, and which is still in the hands of her descendants today. Vallado wines were unjustly forgotten and now they have naturally made up for lost time. These are wines of great importance in the history of the Douro and deserve to be in the top places. Built in 1716, Quinta do Vallado is one of the oldest in the Douro. It is located right next to Régua, on the banks of the Corgo River.
The fate of this emblematic Quinta is in the hands of João Alves Ribeiro and Francisco Ferreira, both descendants of Ferreirinha, and responsible for managing the company and Enology, respectively.
