CRASTO RED WINE VINHA MARIA TERESA - DOURO 2018
CRASTO RED WINE VINHA MARIA TERESA - DOURO 2018
Located on the right bank of the Douro River, between Régua and Pinhão, Quinta do Crasto is a property with around 130 hectares, 70 of which are occupied by vineyards. Also part of the company's assets are Quinta do Querindelo, with 10 hectares of Vinha Velha, and Quinta da Cabreira, in the Douro Superior, with 114 hectares of vineyards.
With a privileged location in the Douro Demarcated Region, Quinta do Crasto has been owned by the family of Leonor and Jorge Roquette for over a century. As is often the case with the great Douro Quintas, the origins of Quinta do Crasto date back to distant times - the name Crasto derived from the Latin "castrum", which means Roman fort.
Deep ruby in color, it impresses the nose with its extraordinary complexity and aromatic freshness, where aromas of wild fruits, soft spice and elegant notes of rockrose stand out. In the mouth, it begins in a captivating way, evolving into a complex of wines, with excellent volume and solid structure, composed of fresh tannins with a fine texture. A unique wine that reflects the unique personality and identity of a century-old vineyard located in a unique terroir full of challenges. It ends very seductive, full of freshness and very persistent.
