Quinta do Vallado, built in 1716, is one of the oldest and most famous farms in the Douro Valley. It is located on the banks of the Corgo River, a tributary of the Douro River, right next to its mouth, close to the town of Peso da Régua.
It belonged to the family of the legendary Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, and remains in the possession of her descendants to this day.

The grapes, coming from a selected vineyard in Baixo Corgo at an altitude of 250m, were left to lightly press and fermented in 500L barrels of 2nd year French Oak. After fermentation, it aged in the same barrels for around 7 months with periodic batonnage.
Quite complex with some floral, herbaceous and light smoked notes. It has a very soft, silky texture and a fresh, elegant finish.
